Winding Trails Pure Ohio Maple Syrup originated on our family farm in the hills of Licking County. It was produced by collecting sap from Maple trees in March when the nights are cold and the days have enough warmth to hint of the coming Spring. About 40 gallons of sap are boiled down to make a gallon of delicious maple syrup, the original natural sweetener.
Jim has always been fascinated by the process of collecting clear sap and turning it into rich, golden syrup. We have recently retired and this dream has become our passion in late winter and early spring. By then we’ve had enough gray, cold days and we long for spring when we can farm, plant wildflowers and enjoy being outdoors.
We are currently completely sold out of syrup for the 2023 season. Please check back in early 2024 for next year’s syrup.
